One of the prominent businessman and husband of Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra has been arrested by Mumbai police in the case of allegedly producing and promoting pornographic videos on a mobile app and social media.
Mumbai Police said, “Through investigation and proofs, it is quite clear that Raj Kundra is involved in producing nude and vulgar videos, which was later uploaded on social media.
On February 4 this year, the Mumbai police arrested 5 people for allegedly compelling women into porn movies. In the outskirts of the city is a bunglow named Maladh village, the police when raided, found many young boys and girls filming for the pornographic videos.
Actor Umesh Kamant has also confirmed and given a statement that Mr Kundra is involved in broadcasting such videos.
The people involved in this racket would assured women coming from different part of the country giving them lead roles in webseries. However, on the day of the shoot, the script used to be changed and they would threaten the women to expose themselves. And if the women denied to do so, they would ask for the compensation for the shoot setup.
The movies once shot, was made available on mobile apps, which offered subscriptions on the line of OTT platforms. And then they would put advertisements on social media. Since pornographic videos are illegal in India, this too was against the law.
