Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to lay the foundation stone for Microsoft’s new campus in Sector 145, Noida, today. The campus will be constructed on a five-acre plot, marking a significant investment in the region’s IT infrastructure.
In addition to the Microsoft campus, the Chief Minister will inaugurate several other key projects:
- MAQ Software’s Building in Sector 132: This new facility aims to bolster the company’s operations and strengthen Noida’s position as a burgeoning IT hub.
- Sify Technologies’ Campus in Sector 132: Spanning another five-acre plot, this campus is expected to enhance Sify’s service delivery capabilities in the region.
The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation for two underpasses on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, aiming to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. Additionally, he will inaugurate the Ganga Water Project, designed to supply quality drinking water to residential areas along the expressway.
These developments are part of the Uttar Pradesh government’s broader strategy to position Noida as a leading investment destination for major IT firms, telecom equipment manufacturers, and data center providers. The ongoing construction of the Jewar airport has further accelerated investment interest in the region, with companies like HCL, Tech Mahindra, and Microsoft already establishing a presence.
The Microsoft campus is anticipated to create approximately 3,000 jobs, contributing to the state’s economic growth and reinforcing Noida’s status as a prominent technology hub in North India.
The state government remains committed to addressing the concerns of local farmers regarding land compensation and rehabilitation. Efforts are underway to resolve these issues promptly, ensuring that development projects proceed smoothly while safeguarding the interests of the local community.
These initiatives underscore the Uttar Pradesh government’s dedication to fostering economic development, enhancing infrastructure, and attracting significant investments to the region.
