Coronavirus remains active for nine hours :Study

A Japanese research has found that the coronavirus remains active in human skin for nine hours, which showed the need for frequent hand washing to combat the ongoing pandemic. A study published in the Clinical Infectious Diseases journal, the pathogen that cusses flu can only survive in human skin for 1.8 hours when compared to the survivability time of the coronavirus. The study stated that the nine hour long survivability period of coronavirus on the human skin may increase the risk of contact transmission in comparison with influenza A virus, which can accelerate the pandemic. Though both coronavirus and flu virus are inactivated within 15 seconds after the application of ethanol.
