Workplace discrimination and salary difference due to gender bias is a global issue, which can only be fixed with everyone’s support. The same issue is in Bollywood too, but with growing mindsets and people being more vocal it looks like things are changing for better. A while ago, Kareena Kapoor became a buzzing news, when she allegedly asked for 12 crores to play Sita’s role in the movie: ‘Sita – The Incarnation’, which turned out to be untrue. The movie’s director is Alaukik Desai, and the writer KV Vijayendra Prasad ( of Baahubali fame ) has denied the controversy, he has made clear that Kareena hadn’t been approached for the role in the first place. He via his Instagram, asked that these rumours should be blown away with the wind, and that media shouldn’t disrespect these megastar by throwing their name randomly in every rumor. He also said that, these megastar have a special place on our hearts and as soon the cast will be finalized, it will be revealed. Taapsee Panu, has also put her views forward in the support of Kareena. Kareena, too finally broke her silence on the controversy and commented on the pay gap. Kareena said that a few years ago no one would talk about these issues such as men and women getting paid equally in a movie, but people are getting more vocal now. She also said that she makes quiet clear what she wants, and that should be respected. She also said that it’s is not about demanding, but giving respect to women. Moreover, Kangana Ranaut has now bagged the role of Sita in the movie, which she announced via Instagram.
