Rajkot expierence earthquake of 4 magnitude

On Thursday at 3:49 p.m, Gujarat’s Rajkot experienced an earthquake of 4. magnitude, measured in the Richter scale by the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR). There are no reports of damage to property or any injuries to civilians. Rajkot has experienced earthquakes before too, with the previous one happened on Jun 14, 2020 with a magnitude of 5.5 on Richter scale. Gujarat and the adjoining region falls under all four seismic zones – V, IV, III and II, regions likely to experience earthquakes of magnitude 8,7,6 and 5 respectively, according to the seismic zoning map of India (Bureau of Indian Standards 2002)
