A meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi at the Nehru Center in Mumbai led to a fierce battle between NCP President Sharad Pawar and the then Congress incharge Mallikarjun Kharge. Sanjay Raut has revealed this in his weekly column.
Shiv Sena leader Rajya Sabha MP and editor-in-chief of Saamna newspaper Sanjay Raut has made a big disclosure in his weekly column ‘Roktok’ about the activity that happened during the establishment of Mahavikas Aghadi.
In November last year, Mahavikas Aghadi was formed which included Congress, Nationalist Congress (NCP) and Shiv Sena. Together these parties formed a government in Maharashtra by tying up to keep the BJP out of power.
In fact, who got the post of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and what issues the NCP is getting in power, Kharge presented these issues. There was an argument between Pawar and Kharge about this. Kharge said that NCP should not go to the post of Assembly Speaker. After which Sharad Pawar was enraged and Pawar picked up all his papers on the table and immediately left the meeting. Seeing Pawar being so hot for the first time, Sanjay Raut and Praful Patel immediately got up and ran after him.
