India To Become Knowledge Superpower: Union Minister Subhas Sarkar

Union Minister Subhash Sarkar said on Saturday that the government aims to make the country a global knowledge superpower. Union Minister of State for Education Shri Sarkar said this while addressing the 5th Global Education Forum of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, where he spoke on the topic 'Revisiting the Idea of ​​Internationalization - Global to Local'. He said, “Our mission is to make India a superpower in the educational sector as the country has created a multidisciplinary education system with internationally relevant curriculum that that will help generate employment," he said.
Today, India not only has the potential to become the knowledge hub of the world with the most educated youth, but it also has the skill capital to take the country forward, which can be accomplished by providing world-class education. - said the minister. The Union Minister said that the National Education Policy 2020 will attract international students to make India a global hub while giving autonomy to faculty. “There is a demand and the central government is providing a platform to assist international students,” he added.
He said that after NEP 2020 came into existence, a flexible curriculum and changes in the education system were brought in to give holistic education to the students. Shri Sarkar said that in recent times 49,000 students have come to India to study in our educational institutions and 10 lakh students have gone abroad. The Union Minister said that India is a popular destination especially for the countries of SAARC and Africa.
Today India has large number of young generation, we have a skilled human resource capital that can become the engine of growth for the world," Shri Sarkar underlined that India is now at the cusp of internationalization of higher education that promotes the best academic listening. And research practices through interaction with the diverse education system.The minister noted the inclusion of several Indian higher educational institutions in international rankings and said that globalization is one of the most transformative forces that has replaced localisation.
Shri Sarkar, MP from Bankura said that the Narendra Modi government has always been open to reform and change and thinking of ideas in a positive manner. He said that under the objective of globalization, prestigious Indian institutions are now setting up offshore campuses and India will one day become a global knowledge superpower.
