International Baccalaureate (IB) has let its students to use the material produced by this chatbot in essays at a time when ChatGPT, an Open AI product, is being extensively prohibited in schools throughout the world. As long as they provide proper credit and avoid passing it off as their own work, students will not be prohibited from using artificial intelligence chatbots in their assessments, according to the worldwide education organisation located in Geneva.

Artificial intelligence software shouldn’t be viewed as a danger, but rather should be recognised as a part of daily life like other technologies, according to Matt Glanville, head of assessment principles and practise at the International Baccalaureate. The Times cited Glanville as arguing that tools like calculators, spellcheckers, translation software, and ChatGPT should be considered necessities of existence. Around 20 lakh students at schools around the world have access to the International Baccalaureate’s variety of top-notch courses.

Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, recently said it wouldn’t be a good idea to forbid AI-powered chatbots from being used in universities since they will help students learn more. “Well, my son introduced me to ChatGPT a few months ago, and I think it will be very, very valuable. It is a very potent instrument for enhancing people’s understanding. The debate over removing ChatGPT from universities is misguided, he claimed, as it would measure how intelligent our youth are at using Chat GPT to create strong arguments, compelling articles, and strong responses.
