3 Ingredients to help you prevent hair loss in monsoon

We yearn for chatpata snacks with our sham ki chai during the monsoon season. All age groups enjoy traditional Indian snacks like bhajiya and bhutta, however consuming too much of these foods might occasionally have negative health effects.

During the rainy season, skin and hair issues are also prevalent. Because of the increased humidity during the monsoon, we often experience dandruff, dull hair, and hair loss. Therefore, during this time of year, health professionals frequently advise consumers to adopt a regular hair-care regimen. Our diet has a significant impact on the health of our hair. Rujuta Diwekar, a dietitian, has provided some advice on Instagram with this in mind. She claims that incorporating these three foods into our diets may assist to prevent hair loss.

Dana Methi

The traditional fenugreek seed is more than just a delicious complement to food. One of the many health advantages of methi is that it prevents hair loss. Warm coconut oil should be used with methi dana, suggests Rujuta. And once it has cooled, just massage it into your scalp and let it sit for the night. Additionally, you can add fenugreek to kadhi and have it for dinner with khichdi. Fenugreek seeds are an acceptable addition to your standard veggie tadka.

Aliv Seeds

Aliv seeds, often referred to as “garden cress” and “halim,” are rich in calcium, minerals, iron, dietary fibre, and several vitamins, including vitamins A, C, and E. It is well known that these seeds encourage hair development. These seeds can simply be soaked in water and eaten the night before bed with milk. For even better outcomes, Rujuta advises incorporating these nutrient-dense seeds into laddoos with coconut and ghee.

Nutmeg

Nutmeg is a miracle spice that not only strengthens hair but also prevents hair loss, encourages hair growth, and gives hair more volume. When added to milk at night, a modest teaspoon of nutmeg powder can make a big difference. It can be combined with aliv seeds.  According to Rujuta, the vitamins B6, folic acid, and magnesium found in nutmeg assist to prevent hair loss.
