‘Kashmir remains to be an integral part of the country irrespective of Pakistan believes’: India at UN

India criticised Pakistan on Thursday for bringing up the Kashmir conflict during a UN debate and denounced its “desperate attempts to peddle falsehoods.” We’re here to talk about UNSC reforms, and yet again a Pakistani representative has brought up Jammu and Kashmir without justification.

Regardless of what Pakistan’s representative believes, Jammu and Kashmir remains an essential and inalienable part of India, according to Pratik Mathur, Permanent Representative of India to the UN, in his right to reply during the UNGA meeting on the UN Security Council.

He continued, “Pakistan’s desperate efforts to disseminate lies and a bad habit of abusing the sanctity of multilateral forums deserve collective contempt and perhaps sympathies as well.

During a significant UN General Assembly discussion on the UN Security Council, India gave Pakistan’s bogus accusations the appropriate answer they deserved.

The G4 Statement on equitable participation of the UN Security Council was previously delivered in the UNGA by Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN.

“At the UNGA today, I gave the G4 Statement on the UN Security Council’s fair representation. The greater the representational deficit, a necessary condition for the legitimacy and effectiveness of the Security Council, the longer reform is stalled, “In a tweet on Thursday, Kamboj.

She said, “Speaking for the G4 nations of Brazil, Germany, Japan, and India, “The Security Council’s lack of representation will get worse the longer it is delayed. Additionally, representation is a necessary prerequisite for its validity and potency.” The Permanent Representative of India emphasised that it is past due for the Security Council to conform to its Charter obligation to act on behalf of all Members.

“Without increasing the membership in both groups, this cannot be accomplished. The Council will only be able to manage today’s global conflicts and the more intricate and interconnected global challenges it faces by doing this “Added she.
