Sharjah’s breathtaking light festival wowed the world with its 600-member crew and 7 international artists.

For 12 nights, mosques, dams, and forts throughout the Emirate gleamed in a variety of vibrant designs.

For 12 nights straight, the Sharjah Light Festival brought buildings and mosques to life as it illuminated the Emirate in a rainbow of colors. 600 employees, laborers, and volunteers joined forces for the festival’s 12th iteration, which came to an end on February 19 and featured breathtaking performances at 13 different sites. According to a top official, the shows were produced in a “record period” of three months after planning for the event started in December 2022.

The geometry, themes, calligraphy, and patterns of Arab and Islamic architecture that distinguish its landmarks were all inspiration for the Sharjah Light Festival’s displays and performances, according to Al Midfa. The engineering details on the monuments and buildings in the Emirate of Sharjah reflect the region’s identity and culture.
