Delhi University to Display Vacant Seats for 2nd Round of UG Admissions Today

Delhi University is set to display vacant seats for the second round of undergraduate admissions (UG) today, August 22, 2024. The list will be available on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal at admission.uod.ac.in.

With the first round of admissions concluding on August 21, candidates now have the opportunity to reorder their preferences for higher-priority programs. This can be done from 5 pm on August 22 until 4:59 pm on August 23. The second round of seat allotment results will be announced on August 25, and candidates must accept their allotted seat by August 27. Colleges will complete the verification and approval process by August 29, with the final date for fee payment set for August 30.

Delhi University, which offers approximately 71,600 undergraduate seats, has made 97,387 allocations in the first round—36% higher than the total seats available. This strategy aims to optimize seat occupancy and ensure that the academic session begins smoothly on August 29, 2024.

The university provided candidates with 1,559 program and college combinations to choose from during the admission process. A total of 2,45,287 candidates applied in the first phase of the CSAS, with 1,85,543 applicants submitting their preferences, resulting in over 17 million preferences being recorded in the first round.
