Candidates appearing for the CET exam will get Free pick-and-drop facility by Haryana Roadways

The Haryana Roadways will provide free pick-and-drop facility to candidates appearing for the CET examination to be held on November 5-6, an official statement said on Wednesday.

Along with this, a family member traveling with female candidates can also avail this free travel facility, provided they show their identity document.

Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted for recruitment to Group-C posts. About 13,700 buses of Haryana Roadways have been arranged by the State Transport Department to ensure hassle free travel.

Almost all ordinary route buses will be used to provide this facility, it said, adding that an appeal has been to people to make less use of public transport on the days when the exam is scheduled.

Around 11.36 lakh candidates are likely to appear in the CET exam. At the district level, pick-and-drop arrangements will be made for candidates from the sub-divisional bus stand or district level bus stand to the examination centres, it said.

A committee constituted under the leadership of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district will keep a close watch on this entire travel system.

Arrangements are made for the candidates to reach the nearest bus stand of the respective examination centers in both the shifts of the examination.

Reporting at the exam center is 8:30 am for morning shift and 1:30 pm for evening shift.

Instructions have been issued to all General Managers to ensure arrangements for advance booking at Bus Stands of Depots/Sub Depots.

All the candidates are requested to make advance booking by visiting their nearest depot or sub depot from 9 AM on 3rd November, which will continue till 5 PM on 4th November so that they do not face any inconvenience on the day of examination.
