In the men’s long jump final on Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games, Murali Sreeshankar took home a silver medal, while Sudhir, a para powerlifter, earned gold with a Games-record score of 134.5 points. Amit Panghal, Jaismine Lamboriya, and Sagar Ahlawat, three boxers from India, stole the show as they advanced to the semifinals and guaranteed India a medal. By defeating Wales, the men’s hockey team advanced to the round of four. The women’s 200-meter sprinter Hima Das also advanced to the semifinals. At the current major tournament, shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth also advanced to the pre-quarterfinals.
On Day 8, the contingent would like to see the strong performance continue. A thrilling day is planned with stars like in attendance.
