JNU seeks applications for its full-time MBA Programme; CAT scores are required for admission.
The admissions for the fifth batch of the MBA Program at Jawaharlal Nehru University’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship were announced today. March 15 is the last day to submit the application.
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements, which for General Category, OBC, and EWS candidates is a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognised university with at least 50% marks.
The minimal mark needed for admission for SC/ST/PWD applicants is a minimum of 45% overall.
Candidates who have finished degree prerequisites and are awaiting results may also apply, as may those who are taking the last year of the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification test.
Provided chosen, these individuals will only be permitted to enrol if they present by a certain date documentary proof that they have met the qualifying conditions.
The procedure for selection
All applicants seeking admission to the MBA programme in 2022 must have taken the IIMs’ Common Admission Test (CAT).
The CAT score will be used by JNU to shortlist applicants for group discussions and personal interviews for the MBA programme.
There will be at least seven times as many candidates shortlisted for GD and PI based on the merit of their CAT scores as there are available seats in each category.
The final list of chosen applicants will be based on the CAT score as well as the marks received in the group discussion and personal interview, with the weighted percentages of each being 70%, 10%, and 20% of the CAT score.
