Karan Johar honours his father Yash Johar on his birthday

On Wednesday morning, the beloved producer and director of Bollywood, Karan Johar, posted a vintage photo of the two of them.

The “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” filmmaker posted the image to Instagram with the phrase “Blessings” and an emoticon of linked hands.

On the anniversary of the birth of his late father and producer Yash Johar, filmmaker Karan Johar is overcome with feelings of love and nostalgia.

With his hands on Yash’s shoulders, Karan could be seen posing with his father in the vintage photo.

The late producer Yash Johar established Dharma Productions in 1976. Its debut film, “Dostana,” starred Amitabh Bachchan.

The firm has produced more than 45 movies since Karan Johar’s directing debut, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” including “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” “2 States,” and “Dear Zindagi.”

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh, is currently being directed by Karan. The movie is scheduled to premiere on February 10, 2023.

His most recent, highly-budgeted production, “Liger,” which stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday as the leads from the South, fell flat at the box office.

On September 9, 2022, Dharma Productions’ next film “Brahmastra Part-1: Shiva,” which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy in key roles, is scheduled to be released in theatres.
