Some of them gained huge fame and recognition; so much so, that their families took their legacy forward — emerging their own dynasty of sorts in the world of cinema. The Kapoors, Chopras and Akkinenis are a few of the most prominent and affluent film families in India. Do you know which is the richest film family in the country? Hint: They are from the Telugu film industry. Known as the Mega Family, the Allu-Konidela family is one of the most prominent and wealthiest of all the celebrity families in India. They are known for their incredible work and contributions to Telugu cinema; at least three generations of the family are a part of the film world, business ventures and politics as well.

The family was established by Allu Ramalingaiah, who is famed for his comic roles in the movies and as a producer in the industry. He has four children, out of which Aravind Ramalingaiah Became a producer. His daughter married Chiranjeevi, who emerged to be one of the mega stars of the Indian film industry. The family comprises star actors like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan, Nagendra Babu, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, and many others. Reportedly, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are considered to be the richest members of the Allu-Konidela family. Along with the contribution of Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun, the net worth of the Mega Family is Rs 6,000 crore. It comprises production houses like Geetha Arts, Anjana Productions, Pawan Kalyan, Creative Works, Konidela Production Company, Allu Studio and others.
Apart from being a megastar, Chiranjeevi is also a politician who was once the Union Minister of the State and Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. He was a member of the Congress party and even campaigned for it as the chairman of the Election Campaign Committee. Since 2014, he has stayed away from active politics and his tenure as the Rajya Sabha member also ended in 2018.

Ram Charan and Allu Arjun are among the highest-paid actors in the country. The Allu-Konidela family has delivered some of the biggest blockbusters in recent times like RRR, Pushpa: The Rise, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Magadheera and Indra.
