According to BJP sources, just before the executive meeting, PM Narendra Modi will hold a grand road show from Patel Chowk to the NDMC Convention Center, the venue of the meeting. The BJP has started gearing up for the next year’s Lok Sabha elections and before that, the assembly elections of ten states, which are considered to be the semi-finals of power this year. Mission 2024 and the strategy for the assembly elections will be discussed in the party’s two-day national executive meeting starting Monday. PM Modi, 35 Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of 12 States, Presidents of 37 States, Union Territories will participate in the meeting. According to party general secretary Vinod Tawde, there will be a meeting of national office bearers before the meeting starting at 4 pm. Proposal will come to extend Nadda’s tenure

A proposal to extend the term of party president JP Nadda by one year will also be presented in the meeting. His term ends this month. Sources say that he will get an extension of one year, which will probably be extended till the Lok Sabha elections next year.

Separate discussion for Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha

According to party sources, there will be separate discussion on the strategy for assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Assembly elections are due in Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir this year.
